SLO Brew is hosting a Battle of the Bands competition throughout the month of August. The aim of the contest is to highlight local artists and provide them with a platform to share their music on the SLO Brew stage.
The bands chosen to battle on the SLO Brew stage are Noach Tangeras Band, Pancho and the Wizards, The Bogeys, Dead by Noon, The Blind Barbers, The Internet, Ezra, and Grand Ave. These bands were carefully selected from a large pool of talented applicants, representing distinct styles ranging from rock to hip hop.
The SLO Brew Battle of the Bands contest will commence with round one of competition on August 1st, pitting bands against each other for lively nights of live music competition. The winning bands will be selected based off of the number of overall crowd votes at the time of the performance combined with judge scoring from SLO Brew’s music department.
There will be two band battles per night, with round one of competition taking place on August 1, 6, 8, and 13. The remaining four artists will compete in the semi-finals on August 20 and 27, with the final competition play on August 29. Entry to the shows are free and the Luis Obispo community is encouraged to attend the performance nights in support of local live music. Further competition information is available at slobrew.com/live.
